Mo Farah Inver mood to impress at Antrim Coast Half Marathon

Sir Mo Farah knows how to stay onside with the locals.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist will compete in the Antrim Coast Half Marathon on Saturday.

It is a major coup for the organisers to attract the athletics legend to Larne for the 2020 event.

And Sir Mo has been showing his support to the town's Danske Bank Premiership football club during his visit.

He was presented with an official Larne FC hoodie by the club which he proudly wore on Friday.

It was Larne supporter and former Olympian James McIlroy who persuaded Farah to compete at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon this weekend.

James used to be on the books of Larne and is a grandson of Belfast Celtic legend Syd McIlroy.

Mo - who is an Arsenal fan - was keen to learn more about the Inver Park club during his visit.

Tiernan Lynch's side will hope they can harness Farah's staying power next season in the Danske Bank Premiership.
