Mo Besic still at Everton after deadline day but next transfer step emerges

Mo Besic will now look to secure a move to the Championship after he remained at Everton following tonight's deadline.

The 28-year-old midfielder, who had attracted interest from Rangers, was unable to secure a move away from Goodison.

Besic will now hope to attract interest from clubs in the second tier with the window for business to be done between Premier League and EFL clubs, open until 5pm on October 16.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is into the final year of his Everton contract and has no future at the club but continues to train with Carlo Ancelotti's first-team.

Besic featured in the opening pre-season friendly of the summer against Blackpool.

But he has not featured in any of Everton's opening seven games of the season.

He will now look to the Championship, where he impressed with Middlesborough in the 2018-19 season, for a move to re-start this career.
