MMA fighter Rodrigo de Lima killed after Uber altercation

MMA fighter Rodrigo de Lima was killed Sunday night in Brazil after a dispute with an Uber driver. The UFC veteran was 28 years old.

According to one of his friends, de Lima and the Uber driver got into a heated argument and then the driver intentionally ran him over, killing de Lima on impact.

His most recent MMA bout took place last June at Shooto Brazil 85, which he won in a first-round submission. He also appeared in two UFC bouts in 2014 and 2015.

The Uber driver has been identified by local authorities, per a news site in Brazil, but he has not yet been arrested.
