Earlier today, San Diego Studio released its latest patch for MLB The Show 25, Update 14. Included in Update 14 are mostly cosmetic-related changes to player models, with a total of 18 players having their models updated to conform to their real-life appearance. To commemorate Lou Gehrig Day, some new content — including a bat skin and grip — has been released. However, the sole gameplay tweak included is a big one.
For some reason, SDS has decided to nerf bunting and drag bunting on higher difficulties, making it harder for them to be successful on the GOAT and Hall of Fame difficulties. While this could prevent some cheese for top-ranked teams playing on GOAT, it could also hurt players trying to collect rewards on Diamond Quest moving forward.

New Content Released Alongside MLB The Show 25 – Update 14
With Update 14 of MLB The Show 25 coinciding with Lou Gehrig Day, some Diamond Dynasty content has been added as well. For one, a brand new Lou Gehrig Day program allows players to unlock a 92-rated version of Lou Gehrig. And he’s pretty good! Here are his attributes:
