It’s been a busy week for MLB The Show 25. Not only were players treated to two different rounds of the Weekend Classic in one week, but there were some pretty big content drops as well. The biggest of the drops was the Hall of Fame program, which commemorates several players who received Cooperstown plaques on Sunday. We also got three new Boss cards, all of which are fantastic. But MLB The Show 25 is also preparing for some other stuff in the future, namely the Speedway Classic. And to incorporate this, MLB The Show 25 has dropped Game Update 21.
For those who haven’t been keeping up, the Speedway Classic was contested by the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves over the weekend and emanated from the famous Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. Because it’s MLB’s newest gimmick, they’re pushing it pretty hard. And, one of the biggest things about the latest update is adding the stadium and a few other cosmetic goodies.
MLB The Show 25 Game Update 21 – Patch Notes
As mentioned in our little intro above, the main focus of Game Update 21 is the Speedway Classic, along with the addition of Bristol Motor Speedway as a stadium (we’ll be covering this a little later). The Speedway Classic uniforms for both the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves are also now available.
Outside of the Speedway Classic stuff, most of the patch notes relate to player models, which makes it seem like a majority of this update is purely cosmetic. But there are two fixes that have been made. One is a patch that should resolve any issues pertaining to the game crashing when playing at American Family Field, and another that fixes teams wearing the wrong uniform during the All-Star Game.
Honestly, I’m a bit aggravated that freeze-offs in Ranked Co-op haven’t been addressed. But, I guess that issue runs a bit too deep for a simple patch to fix.

General
- Bristol Motor Speedway Stadium is now available.
- Added new Bristol Motor Speedway uniforms for the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when playing at American Family Field.
- Fixed a bug where players could be wearing the wrong team’s jersey in the All-Star game.

- Fixed a bug where uniforms and logos would not match a player’s current team when the player is in the All-Star Game.
