There is a new top dog at the 2B and SS position and it’s Prime Trea Turner. Rocking a Dodgers jersey and 99 speed, Chase packs return in a big way with this card.
Trea Turner is a very easy card to get behind already because people like his base card. He’s got a good swing, good track record, good speed, and he’s not going to let you down in any category. This version is juiced to the gills with 115 power against LHP and 117 clutch. The 75 power against RHP might matter more if he didn’t also have 99 speed and 80 steal. The defense does play better at 2B than SS, but it’s easy to see this card sticking in your lineup the rest of the year. I suppose the only downside is he doesn’t have CF position versatility, but that’s no sweat.
This card is going to be expensive and stay expensive. He’s sitting at 200K right now, and I would only expect that to drop to closer to 150K after some Flash Sale or some other insane middle infielder breaking through. This is the best Chase pack card of the year, and the biggest “meta” changer since Randy Johnson.
