MLB The Show 25 Adds Milestone Justin Verlander Card

On Sunday, San Francisco Giants pitcher Justin Verlander entered an elite statistical category when he threw his 3,500th career strikeout against the Washington Nationals. He is only the 10th player to accomplish this feat, and in turn, MLB The Show 25 is giving him a big card to celebrate the occasion.

Verlander has always been an MLB The Show favorite due to his good mechanics, lively fastball, and pitch mix. And spoiler alert: This card is no different.

Justin Verlander’s Milestone Card In MLB The Show 25

As you can see, this card is a straight dog! As expected, Verlander’s Milestone card is a 99-rated Diamond. And his per-9s are outstanding, with none of them dipping below 100 except his HR/9, which stands at a slightly disappointing 90. Here are the per-9s in full:

  • 112 Stamina
  • 108 H/9
  • 115 K/9
  • 100 BB/9
  • 90 HR/9
  • 110 Pitching Clutch

As expected, Verlander throws gas and possesses a primary outlier fastball, which is almost a necessity on higher difficulties in Diamond Dynasty outside of a pitcher who has nasty breaks. His 91 control is also solid, though the sinker will have a bigger PAR.

Verlander’s pitch mix consists of an outlier 4-seam fastball, slider, 12-6 curve, circle change, and a sinker. It’s nothing to really write home about, but it’s more than enough to get out good hitters so long as your sequencing and location are both on point.

How To Unlock Justin Verlander’s Milestone Card In MLB The Show 25

Verlander’s Milestone card is legit good enough to get into most players’ starting rotations. And even if it isn’t, it certainly bodes well for Giants theme teams. So, how do you unlock him?
