MLB The Show 18 cover athlete Aaron Judge is a monster–I think that’s been established. At just 25 years old, he’s already rated a 93 overall, but he’s not the highest-rated player in the game.

There’s no question Judge gives gamers a good reason to use the New York Yankees in franchise mode, to shoot for him in the feature’s optional fantasy draft, or to dig through packs for his services in Diamond Dynasty.
However, Judge is not even the youngest player in the game with a rating of 90-plus. That distinction belongs to the Toronto Blue Jays’ 23-year-old closer Roberto Osuna. The five-pitch reliever checks in with a 91 overall rating fresh off his career-high 39 saves in 2017, which followed a 36-save effort in 2016.
The ratings have undergone a change since they were initially revealed just before launch. Looking for 99-overall rated guys, not including legends? There are four of them. The Los Angeles Angels’ Mike Trout, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen and the World Series champion Houston Astros’ Jose Altuve.
Take a look at all of the ratings in the video below:
These ratings can and will likely change throughout the season, but if you’re ready to start a franchise mode, this is an excellent guide.
