SEATTLE - The drought is finally over for Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis García, who snapped a 12-game streak without a home run with a 401-feet homer at the top of the third inning to put the Rangers ahead in the scoreboard.

The Cuban has had a solid start to the season, batting for .311 with 23 hits and 18 RBI so far in 2024. But, for 12 games, the Cuban wasn't able to clear the fences. It was something similar to what happened to him last season, when he had two long droughts without a homer.

His longest streak of the past season started in May and lasted until June, when he went for 15 games without a round-tripper. A few games later, in June, he started another long drought, this time going 12 games without a homer.

For the last three seasons, Adolis García has proven to be one of the most explosive bats in the American League. Among Rangers players, García leads the team in doubles (93), RBI (316), is second in hits (451) and has almost 30 homers more than second place (102) since the start of the 2021 season.

But even when his bat is not hot, "El Bombi" finds ways to impact the game. Since the start of the 2021 season, only four players have more RBI than the Cuban (316) in all of Major League Baseball. On the other side of the ball, he remains error-free in 138 innings played in field, going 38 for 38 so far this campaign.
