MLB Rivals is entering its second year and has cleared 5 million downloads across Steam, the Apple App Store and Google Play as a free to play game. To mark both the milestone and the game’s anniversary, developer and publisher Com2uS is releasing a mix of events and in-game rewards.
Anyone who logs in during the event period will receive a gift package that includes a Team Selective Signature Pack. There’s also a Random Dice event where completing missions unlocks daily dice rolls to earn in-game items. The 2nd Anniversary Mission Pass adds more incentive to keep playing, with players working through missions to unlock new Moment-tier cards.
As the All-Star Game approaches on July 15, MLB Rivals will host a few themed events of its own. The Ranked Slugger World Championship begins today and runs for two weeks, giving players a shot at showing off their home run skills. Using All-Star players during this event gives extra boosts and progression bonuses.
Com2uS is also adding some social and community flavor to the mix, including in-game All-Star Game predictions and other fan-driven content. A limited-time Scout Event offers a way to pick up new players by earning Scout Tickets through daily missions, event matches, roulette spins and more.
