Mladenov Discusses with Mideast Quartet Resumption of Peace Talks

UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov has said that he held discussions with his US and Russian counterparts on ways to revive negotiations on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“Today I spoke to my US, Russia, EU colleagues of the Middle East Quartet,” Mladenov wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

“We discussed how to revive meaningful peace negotiations towards the goal of two states,” he said.

“I briefed them on UN efforts to support excellent Israeli Palestinian cooperation” against the COVID-19 disease, he added.
