MK Dons 0-2 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp's much-changed side eases into Carabao Cup fourth round

Liverpool have booked their place in the Carabao Cup fourth round after victory over MK Dons.

Jurgen Klopp's side were gifted the game's opener four minutes before half-time when Dons goalkeeper Stuart Moore parried a hopeful shot from James Milner into the back of his own net.

Ki-Jana Hoever added a second after 69 minutes, latching onto Milner's cross with a towering header that sealed the win.

Klopp made 11 changes to the side that beat Chelsea at the weekend with Rhian Brewster and Harvey Elliot handed their full debuts.

Elliot in particular impressed on his first outing for the Reds, brilliantly setting up Milner who should have opened the scoring earlier than he did thanks to the youngster's invention.

MK Dons did have their chances to score however, with Dejan Lovren enduring a torrid first-half before Jordan Bowery was denied by the woodwork in the second period.
