AIZAWL: Mizoram reported the country's fifth highest Covid-19 daily infections and sixth highest active cases in the last 24 hours, said the ministry of health and family welfare.
The state logged 513 new cases, the highest among the eight northeastern states, and contributed 54.59% fresh infections in the region in the last 24 hours on Saturday morning.
The daily test positivity rate was also the highest in the region at 9.20% in the last 24 hours.
Mizoram's recovery rate dipped from 95.03% on Friday evening to 94.95% on Saturday evening.
Of the total 1,24,539 infected people, as many as 1,18,254 have recovered, while the active cases also have gone up to 5,839 as against Friday 5,725, which is 4.61% of the total infections.
The total toll remained at 446, 0.36% of the total infected people.
