You might have noticed over a period of time that not all of the opinions offered by the papers and articles quoted here are consistent with each other. It appears it's the same in the US:
"nc.com reports that optimism is up among U.S. small business owners.
On the same day the Los Angeles Times reports that confidence is down among U.S. small business owners."
That's according to the small business blog to which I drew your attention yesterday. In Europe, meanwhile the Euro zone has reached a standstill according to the BBC's news site, while in the UK the Daily Telegraph's update team note a fall on the Stock Exchange (this link might work only in some browsers).
It doesn't look too bright - but then why do small business managers, in report after report that crosses my desk, remain bright about their prospects over the coming 12 months? Either someone somewhere knows something, or there's a heck of a lot of whistling in the dark going on.
