Former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney left viewers reeling with a bizarre technique for blowing out the candles on his birthday cake.
The US Senator was filmed by his team who surprised him with a birthday cake as he turned 72 today.
Mr Romney said: “My team surprised me with a cake made out of my favourite snack – twinkies! Looking forward to all this year has in store”.
Viewers were left watching in amazement as he plucked the indidual candles from atop the cake, blowing them out one at a time.
Roxane Gay wrote: “How do you not know how to blow out candles? It’s distressing, Mitt.”
Matt Doran replied: “Blowing out candles one at a time like that is savage”.
While David Deutsch wrote: “Humans blow out birthday candles all at the same time.”
