Mitchell Street in Glasgow city centre taped off by police after man found injured

Police last night taped off a street in Glasgow city centre after a man was found injured.

Officers raced to the scene on Mitchell Street, close to Mitchell Lane, shortly after 8.30pm.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment but has since been released.

It's unclear at this stage how he was injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "Around 8.35 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020, police were called after a man was found injured on Mitchell Street, near Mitchell Lane, Glasgow.

"He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. He has since left the hospital.

"Enquiries into to how he came about his injuries are ongoing."
