The COVID testing site in Mitchell was at capacity 90 minutes before opening, as long queues continue for the second week.
This comes as ACT Health prioritises testing for close contacts, people with symptoms and international travellers at the Mitchell and Garran centres.
As of 7am on Monday at the Mitchell site, motorists were attempting to queue on Hoskins Street with staff directing people to leave and come back later.
Wait times as of 9.30am:
- Kambah drive through testing clinic (open 8am to 4pm): at capacity
- Mitchell drive through testing clinic* (open 8am to 10pm): at capacity
- Garran testing clinic* (open 7.30am to 9pm): at capacity

The ACT's testing regime will be placed under additional pressure on Monday and Tuesday, as only three clinics in the whole territory will open to deal with the influx of people needing to be tested.
The testing site at Kambah will remain open for all people requiring a PCR test.
More to come.
