DETROIT _ Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky led a 90-yard touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter to help lift the Bears to a 24-20 victory over the Lions on Thanksgiving at Ford Field.
Trubisky hit David Montgomery with a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2 minutes, 17 seconds to play to give the Bears the lead and eventually their fourth straight win over the Lions.
After the Lions pulled ahead 20-17 on a 24-yard Matt Prater field goal with 10:47 to play, the Bears went three-and-out on their next drive. But a couple of key Trubisky passes to wide receiver Anthony Miller pushed the Bears into Lions territory.
Trubisky hit Miller for a 35-yard gain on third-and-4 from the Bears' 16-yard line and added a 32-yard pass to Miller on third-and-5 from the Lions' 34. His third touchdown pass of the day gave the Bears their first lead since the first quarter.
Lions rookie quarterback David Blough shocked the Bears defense in the first 10 minutes of his first career start, and it felt like the Bears were playing catch-up nearly all afternoon.
Blough, who went undrafted out of Purdue, threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Chicago native Kenny Golladay for his first-career completion.
He was the Lions' third-string quarterback to start the season but was called into action in the short week after Jeff Driskel was limited by a hamstring injury. Driskel was filling in for Matthew Stafford, who is out with a back injury.
Blough followed with an 8-yard touchdown pass, and the Bears went into halftime down 17-10.
But the Bears defense held up after Blough got the Lions to the Bears' 27-yard line in the final minute.
Blough threw an incompletion on second down, and Roquan Smith sacked him for a loss of 13 yards on third down. That left the Lions at fourth-and-22 at the Bears' 39.
Under pressure, Blough lofted a ball toward the end zone, and Eddie Jackson intercepted it to seal the victory.
