NEW YORK _ Former Giants offensive lineman Mitch Petrus has died in Arkansas of heat stroke. He was only 32.
Petrus died Thursday night at a North Little Rock hospital, per the Pulaski County Coroner.
Petrus had worked outside all day at his family shop, per The Associated Press.
He is the second player from the Giants' most recent Super Bowl team to have died recently, following QB Jared Lorenzen's death on July 3 at age 38 from kidney and heart issues.
The Giants drafted him in the fifth round in 2010 and he had a three-year NFL career, winning a Super Bowl with New York in his second season and playing briefly for the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans the following year.
