Greater Manchester will be shrouded in a grey blanket of mist and fog for the morning of Remembrance Sunday.
Forecasters at the Met office have warned of 'dense' fog patches, befitting the sombre gatherings to take place at memorials across the region.
Steven Keates, forecaster, told the Manchester Evening News that Saturday afternoon would stay bright and pleasant, with temperatures hovering around 12 degrees, before a 'cold and frosty' night ahead, when temperatures are expected to plummet to as little as 3 degrees in rural areas.

Steven added: "In the second half of the night there will be fog patches and a gradual invasion of cloud from the east."
This 'invasion', according to Steven, will lead to a grey and misty Sunday morning with 'dense' fog patches, and 'sunlight at a premium', before the afternoon brings sunny spells and light winds, with higher temperatures of up to 12 degrees.
As Monday rolls around, so too will more changeable weather described by the Met as 'typical' of November.
A weather front from the North West is due to bring rain and fog on Monday morning, with showers set to continue through the day despite a temperature of around 11 degrees.
Tuesday will be cloudy with temperatures around 11 degrees again, with showers coming and going up into the evening before a 'bright and breezy' Wednesday with highs of around 12 degrees.
Steven added: "There's nothing particularly dramatic coming other than changeable weather with some showers. It may be colder toward the end of the month."
