Missy Keating screams with excitement in Dancing with the Stars rehearsals

Missy Keating has been sharing her excitement about her participation in next year's series of RTE's Dancing with the Stars.

Missy, who is the daughter of Boyzone singer Ronan Keating and former model Yvonne Connolly, was announced as part of a star-studded lineup for the 2022 edition of the show.

And she has been giving fans a sneak peak into her rehearsals with pictures and short videos on her Instagram stories.

After announcing the news on Instagram, Missy's mum Yvonne commented: "You’re going to be amazing and I can’t wait for the show. I see how hard you are already working."

Other Dublin celebrities who are set to take part include singer Erica Cody, paralympic swimmer Ellen Keane, Aslan guitarist Billy McGuinness and RTÉ News Reporter Aengus Mac Grianna.

Speaking about her upcoming appearance on the show, Missy told RTE: "Things have been going great so far, and it’s definitely a challenge, but hard work pays off and I can’t wait to get out there and show everyone what we are working on.

"I've seen some of the costumes and they are just insane! To be honest, I’m still pinching myself, it’s going to be brilliant."

Meanwhile, Dublin musician Erica Cody said: "To be given the opportunity to do something brand new and to learn and grow within the dance world... I’m just taking it all in."

Paralympic champion Ellen Keane told RTE that she is excited to take part as she gets "to be dry".

She revealed: "I am such a competitor, so I'm in it to win it, but I’m really looking forward to having a good time, learning new skills and making new friends!"

Dancing with the Stars will once again be hosted by Westlife star Nicky Byrne and 2fm presenter Jennifer Zamparelli.

The show returns in January on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
