If the Arizona Cardinals end up trading back at all from the top pick overall in the NFL draft, they might still be able to get a top pass rusher, one who blew everyone away with his athletic testing at the NFL combine over the weekend.
Mississippi State’s Montez Sweat might be the most athletic pass rusher in this draft.
Here are his numbers:
- 40-yard dash: 4.41 seconds
- 3-cone: 7.00 seconds
- 20-yards shuttle: 4.29 seconds
These were numbers put up by a man who is 6-6 and 260 pounds.
Sweat’s production was also good on the field. Over the last two seasons, Sweat had 22.5 sacks and 30 tackles for loss.
Perhaps with all the talk of Nick Bosa and Josh Allen, maybe it is time to include Sweat into the conversation.
He certainly made his presence known at the combine.
