Missing Wylam pub owner Patsy Schroder is 'stable' in hospital as son thanks public for their help

Popular pub landlady Patsy Schroder has been found and is in a "stable" condition in hospital, her family has confirmed.

The mum-of-three - who is also known as Patsy Woodhouse - was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon.

Patsy, who worked at the Fox and Hounds pub on Main Road in Wylam, was last seen leaving an address on Station Road in the village just before 4pm.

Northumbria Police and Patsy's family launched an appeal for information to help bring her home.

The force has now confirmed the 55-year-old has been found, and son Jay Kenney has confirmed his mother is in a "stable" condition in hospital.

Patsy was admitted to Leicester Royal Infirmary on Wednesday evening and remains in hospital.

Jay, 24, who lives in Leicester, has thanked everyone who shared his appeal on social media and for their messages of support.

Jay's original post was shared more than 3,000 times on Facebook in a matter of hours.

He said: "I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that shared and helped us through a difficult time.

"The positive messages kept us going, and despite my mum being in Leicester, she’s where she belongs with her family and we’ll look after her now until she’s better."
