The family of a young woman missing in Auckland for more than a month says they are desperate for answers, with no confirmed sightings or financial activity since she vanished. Te Anihana Pomana, 25, was last seen leaving the SkyCity hotel in central Auckland shortly after 5 a.m. on August 21.

She reportedly left all her belongings behind in the hotel, adding to the distress of her loved ones. In a social media post, a family representative shared a heartbreaking plea for her safe return. “Our baby sister, where are you, our beautiful girl? Thinking of the very first time I held you and the last time,” the post read. “I hope and pray every day you’ll get in contact. That you’ll make your way back.”

Pomana’s mother, Catherine Anderson, traveled from Dunedin to Auckland last month to assist in the search for her daughter. The family has been working closely with the police while also appealing to the public for information, reports 1News.

Despite the outreach, authorities confirmed that no credible sightings have been reported since the day she disappeared. In addition, there have been no movements in Pomana’s bank accounts, intensifying fears for her safety.

Police said they remain concerned and continue to urge the public to come forward with any information. “Police and whānau hold grave concerns for Te Anihana’s safety and urge anyone who sees her to call 111 immediately,” a spokesperson said.

Pomana’s disappearance has shaken both her family and the wider community. Friends and supporters have shared her photo across social media in the hope that increased awareness will lead to new information. The lack of clues, however, has left those closest to her in anguish.

Community groups have joined the family in calling for vigilance, asking Auckland residents to remain alert to her description and to report anything unusual. Advocates for missing persons stress that even the smallest tip can prove vital in cases like this.

For now, Pomana’s family says they are clinging to hope while preparing for the possibility of difficult news. Their focus remains on bringing her home and ensuring she is not forgotten.

As the investigation continues, authorities are appealing directly to the public: if anyone has seen Te Anihana Pomana or has information about her whereabouts since August 21, they are asked to contact police immediately.
