Missing woman found after Renfrewshire search

A woman who was reported missing from her Renfrewshire home has been found safe and well.

Emma McLaughlin had last been seen around 9pm on Friday, December 20 within her home just off Main Street, Bridge of Weir.

In a statement Renfrew police thanked all those who had shared their appeal for information online.

Emma, 32, had been described as white, around 5ft 5 of slim build with shoulder length, dark brown coloured hair, with a block fringe. When last seen she was wearing a dark green coloured parka style jacket with a hood, navy coloured denim jeans and green coloured Nike trainers.

Constable Lauren Green of Renfrew Police Office, said: “We are growing concerned for Emma who has been away from home all night. We are speaking to those who know her to try and trace her and make sure she is okay.

“If anyone knows where Emma is, we would ask you to get in touch with police as soon as possible. Emma, if you see this, please let us or somebody know you are safe.”
