Missing Walkers discontinued crisps? Aldi adds two 'lovely' new flavours to satisfy the cravings

Aldi has released two new flavours to one of its own brand ranges of crisps, made to plug the hole left by a popular Walkers product.

Big brand Walkers discontinued their Stax range, but if you are missing it, you do not need to go far - as budget supermarket Aldi has you covered.

They previously came in three different flavours - paprika, original and sour cream and onion - and were a firm favourite after being launched in 2004.

But it was stopped in 2021, with no plans for them to return.

A Walkers spokesperson said Stax had been binned so the company could focus on "making more of the flavours crisp fans love the most".

The spokesperson said: "We said goodbye to Walkers Stax three years ago. Continuously evolving our portfolio enables us to focus our efforts on making more of the flavours crisp fans love the most."

But Aldi has its own dupe version of the discontinued Walkers crisps called Stackz, with the range featuring four different flavours of sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar, original and BBQ and now have added some extra flavours for fans.

Now crisps lovers can try out a couple of new tastes in the range with the arrival of garlic bread and pigs in blankets.

The new crisps have already caused a stir, with shoppers raving about the new flavours.

One person, posting on Facebook group Newsfoodsuk, said: "BL***Y LOVELYYYY”, while another added: “These are a solid 10/10 and if you have not tried them then get there quick.”

Another pleaded: “Please never discontinue these”, while another added: “They absolutely smother these f****rs in seasoning they're actually lovely lmao. Way more seasoning than Pringles.”
