A Victorian man reported missing in Queensland's far north has been located, police say.
Concerns for Bruce Atkinson were raised on Monday after he failed to show up at a campsite while four-wheel driving with his friend near Cape York.
The 63-year-old had been driving with a fellow Victorian man in a convoy when they experienced difficult weather conditions on Frenchman's track, between Portland Road and Pascoe River.
Mr Atkinson decided to turn back instead of attempting to cross and an alert was sent out after his friend reported him missing to police.
Police said he is safe and well.
