Missing University Of Missouri Student's Bank Card Found In Nashville

Greek university students protest ahead of a vote for foreign private universities in Athens

The Metro Nashville Police Department in Tennessee announced that the bank card belonging to missing University of Missouri college student Riley Strain was discovered near the Cumberland River on Sunday afternoon. The police shared on social media that the bank card was found on the embankment between Gay St. and the Cumberland River, stating that the search for Strain is ongoing.

Reports emerged of a body floating down the Cumberland River around 1 p.m. on Sunday; however, Nashville Fire Department officials clarified that the body did not match Strain's description.

Strain, a senior at the University of Missouri, was last seen on March 8 around 10 p.m. walking along Gay Street after spending time at country singer Luke Bryan's bar on Broadway Street. He was in Nashville with his fraternity brothers for a spring formal trip.

According to sources, Strain was asked to leave the bar on the evening of March 8 due to concerns about his level of intoxication. He informed his friends that he would walk back to their hotel, Tempo by Hilton, which is approximately five blocks away from the bar.

The TC Restaurant Group, which manages Luke's 32 Bridge, released a statement confirming that Strain had purchased one alcoholic drink and two waters during his visit. Security personnel escorted him out of the venue at 9:35 p.m. based on their conduct standards.

Strain's phone last pinged between 10 and 10:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Public Square Park, near the sheriff's office and the Cumberland River.
