Missing teenager seen travelling towards Milngavie as police launch appeal

Police have launched an appeal after a teenage boy was reported missing from the Blanefield area, to the north of Glasgow.

Officers are searching for 16-year-old Liam Thomson, who was seen travelling towards Milngavie.

Amid growing concerns for the youngster, police are asking for public's help and say Liam also has links to Hamilton.

The Forth Valley Police Division issued a statement: "We are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing a teenager reported missing from the Blanefield area.

"Liam Thomson (16) was last seen about 4.45pm on Thursday, 17 October 2019. He has not made any contact since this time and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

"He is described as white, 16-years-old, brown curly hair, 6 ft tall, wearing all black and was seen heading along the A81 towards Milngavie.

"He is also known to have links to the Hamilton area of Glasgow.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to Liam since Thursday. We also ask that anyone traveling around the central belt and Glasgow areas is vigilant and report any sightings of Liam by calling 101, quoting incident 3292 of 17 October."
