Missing teenager Courtney Semple: Search to find girl, 16, thought to be in Glasgow city centre

An urgent search has been launched to find a teenage girl missing for four days who is thought to be in Glasgow's city centre.

16-year-old Courtney Semple was last seen at around 8.50pm on Sunday near the Blackwood area of Lanark.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone with any information about Courtney's whereabouts to contact them to help with their search.

A statement from the force reads: "We are appealing for information to help trace a missing 16 year old female from Lanark.

"Courtney Semple was last seen around 8.50pm on Sunday 6th June 2021 near the Blackwood area of Lanark.

"She is described as being white, around 4ft 8ins tall with long fair/blond hair and blue/brown eyes.

"At the time she went missing Courtney was wearing a green jacket, black Nike hoodie, black Nike shorts and white Converse trainers.

"She is believed to be in the Glasgow City Centre area.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3675 of 6th June 2021."
