Missing teenager Ashawn Studholme last seen in Edinburgh more than a week ago

Police have issued a renewed appeal in a bid to trace a missing teenager last seen in Edinburgh more than a week ago.

Ashawn Studholme, who has links to London, was seen in the Niddrie and The Jewel areas of the city last Monday (May 24).

Officers say the 16-yer-old is likely to have been using public transport, and they want anyone who thinks they've seen him to come forward.

He is described as a black, Scottish male, around 5ft 7ins tall, of slum build and with short dark hair. When reported missing he was wearing a black skip cap, a black jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Constable Lee Aitchison from Craigmillar Police Station said: “Ashawn has been missing for more than a week now and it is vital that we trace him and confirm he is safe and well.

“I would appeal to anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward, and I would also urge Ashawn to get in touch and let us know he is ok.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3248 of Monday, 24 May.”
