Missing teen Jessica McMurray found safe and well after week long search

A teenager reported missing from her home in the Fintry area of Stirling has been found safe and well.

As reported on Glasgow Live, Jessica McMurray, 15, was reported missing on Wednesday, January 22, and was believed to in the Hamilton area or in Glasgow city centre.

This afternoon, Police Scotland shared an update that the missing girl had been traced.

A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm that missing teenager, Jessica McMurray, was traced safe and well a short time ago in Hamilton.

"The 15-year-old was reported missing on Wednesday, 22 January and traced at around 1pm today (Thursday, January 30).

"Officers wish to everyone who shared our earlier appeals for information".
