Missing Strathblane teenager Liam Thomson found after major police search

Missing teenager Liam Thomson has been found by police.

The 16-year-old was last seen at 9.30pm on Friday sparking a major police search.

The teen from Strathblane, Stirlingshire, was believed to be in Hamilton.

On Sunday night Forth Valley Police confirmed the missing teen had been found.

A statement from the force read: "We are pleased to report that 16-year-old Liam Thomson who was reported missing from the Balfron area has been found safe and well.

"Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal."
