Missing Scots teen 'last seen in her bedroom' sparks police search

A Scots teen who was last seen in her bedroom has sparked a police search after she was reported missing.

Abi Obrien, 13, was at her home in the Cumbrae Crescent South area of Dumbarton at around 10pm on Monday.

But she was reported missing missing the following morning at around 5.30am on Tuesday, June 29.

Abi has been described as 5ft 3ins tall, of a thin build with long, blonde hair.

It it not known what Abi was wearing at the time of her disappearance but it may have been sports leggings and a hoodie.

Detective Sergeant Jenna Coyne of the Dumbarton police office said: “Along with her family, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Abi’s welfare and are keen to locate her as soon as possible.

“This is very out of character for Abi and I would encourage anyone who may have seen her or knows of her whereabouts to contact police immediately. Similarly, if Abi is reading this, please let us know you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information, should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0491 of 29 June.
