Missing Scots teen Kai Rae was caught on camera leaving King’s Cross station in London after disappearing from his home over a week ago.

The vulnerable 16-year-old left his house in Cambuslang on Monday November 23 before making his way to Edinburgh’s Waverley station.

He then boarded another service to London and was caught leaving King’s Cross at around 10.10pm.

Kai, a student at Anniesland College in Glasgow, then got into a cab that was parked at one of the station’s taxi ranks.

Police have managed to track the missing teenager’s movements on CCTV and released a description of his clothing in a bid to jog the memories of passersby.

He was seen wearing a black hoodie with ‘GAP’ outlined in white letters on the front, dark blue jeans and dark trainers.

Kai was also wearing a black mask, a back pack and carrying a dark blue GAP paper bag.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: "We have a number of resources dedicated to the search for Kai and are working with our colleagues at the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police as part of our enquiries.

"Kai has been missing for over a week now. It is extremely unusual for him not to be in contact with his family and they are understandably extremely worried.

"We have released these CCTV images of Kai at King's Cross Station to show what he was last seen wearing in the hope that someone may recognise him or know where he may have travelled on to.

“Perhaps someone spoke to him at either of the train stations or on the trains?

"If Kai sees this appeal, I would ask him to please contact family, friends or police to let us know that he is safe."

Kai is described as white, 5 ft 6 ins tall, slim build with short brown hair.

Anyone who may have seen Kai or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1144 of 23 November.
