Missing Scots teen Kai Rae found by police after massive search across border

Missing Scots teenager Kai Rae has been found by police after a massive search.

A huge operation was launched to find the vulnerable 16-year-old after he left his house in Cambuslang on Monday November 23 before making his way to Edinburgh’s Waverley station.

He then boarded another service to London and was caught leaving King’s Cross at around 10.10pm.

Kai, a student at Anniesland College in Glasgow, then got into a cab that was parked at one of the station’s taxi ranks.

Police have managed to track the missing teenager’s movements on CCTV and released a description of his clothing in a bid to jog the memories of passersby.

He was seen wearing a black hoodie with ‘GAP’ outlined in white letters on the front, dark blue jeans and dark trainers.

Police have announced today that he has been found 'safe and well'.

Inspector Stephen McManus: "I am pleased to confirm that Kai Rae (16) who was reported missing from Cambuslang has been traced safe and well.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public and the media for sharing our earlier appeals. Your support was much appreciated"
