Missing Scots schoolboy last seen near canal sparks huge police search

A missing schoolboy has sparked a huge police investigation in Falkirk.

Devyn Burnett was last seen on the canal path in Bonnybridge at around 3am on Sunday morning.

Loved ones are 'becoming increasingly concerned ' the 14-year-old who hails from Camelon.

Police released an image of Devyn who is described as being five foot, nine inches tall.

Disappearing is 'completely out of character' and officers are now asking members of the public to help with their search.

Local officer, Inspector Angus, said: "Devyn has been missing for a number of hours now.

"This is completely out of character for him.

"His friends are understandably worried about it.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for Devyn and I am now looking for the assistance from the public“

"If you believe you have seen Devyn or have any information please contact 101 quoting incident no. 0517 of June 6."
