Missing Scots pensioner sparks frantic police search as concerns grow

A missing Scots pensioner has sparked a frantic police search.

Andrew Clark who has been reported missing from his home in Ardrossan.

Police are now appealing for information which could help trace the 71-year-old.

Enquiries have established he travelled to the Edinburgh and Fife areas using his silver Vauxhall Insignia car, registration SC10 XSO.

He is known to have been in the Newport on Tay area around midnight between Saturday, 27 November and Sunday, 28 November.

He has not been heard from since and he has since been reported missing.

His car is believed to have been on the A8 eastbound near Edinburgh during the afternoon of Sunday, 28 November.

Andrew is described as being 5ft 4in tall and of heavy build with short black, greying hair.

He habitually wears black trousers, a light coloured shirt and a black jacket. He also uses glasses.

Police Scotland said: "We are appealing for information which could help trace Andrew Clark who has been reported missing from his home in Ardrossan.

"Enquiries have established the 71-year-old has travelled to the Edinburgh and Fife areas using his silver Vauxhall Insignia car, registration SC10 XSO.

"Anyone who believes they have seen Andrew or his car is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1081 of 28 November."
