Missing Scots mum found 'safe and well' after two-day police search

A missing Scots mum has been found 'safe and well' after a two day police search.

Cops were frantically hunting for 46-year-old Valerie Spark after she disappeared from her home in Elgin 's Hamilton Drive on Wednesday morning.

Valerie's family urged her to return home and police issued pictures of her car in a bid to trace her.

But now police have said she has been found today.

A statement from north-east division read: "We can confirm that Valerie Spark, 46, reported missing from her home in Elgin on Wednesday, 8 April, has been traced safe and well.

"We would like to thank everyone who assisted with our appeal."

The news was greeted with joy by locals online.

One wrote: "Oh my god that's the best news I've heard lately hoping she is OK her family and friends will b so relieved"

Another added: "So glad Val has been found safe and well."
