Missing Scots man ‘not in good headspace’ as mum issues desperate plea to bring him home

The family of a missing Kilmarnock man who is said to 'not be in a great mindset' are appealing for information to help trace him.

Dylan McCamon, 26, was last seen around 9.45am on Tuesday July 6 on Dean Street, walking towards Gilsburn Gardens in the East Ayrshire town.

His mum, Abi Cowan, posted a frantic appeal on Facebook saying: "He’s not in a great mindset and we are all very concerned and worried?

"If anyone has heard from him or seen him can you get in contact with us or police.

"We are worried sick."

The 26-year-old is known to walk around Kilmarnock a lot, particularly in the Dean Park and Irvine road areas.

Police have now issued some CCTV footage of Dylan in the area where he was last spotted.

He does not have access to a vehicle but is likely to be using public transport, and may have travelled to the Dumbarton area from Glasgow.

When last seen, Dylan was wearing a black bomber style jacket, black jeans and black trainers (Police Scotland)

Police Scotland have described him as white man, around 6ft tall, of a sim build with brown hair and a beard.

When last seen, Dylan was wearing a black bomber style jacket, black jeans and black trainers.

Sergeant Lorraine Fraser, of Kilmarnock response policing, said: “We are becomingly increasingly concerned for Dylan’s welfare and are asking members of the public for their assistance to help trace him safe and well.

“Dylan does not have access to a vehicle but is likely travelling by train or bus and may have travelled to the Dumbarton area from Glasgow.

“I would ask if anyone has noticed anyone matching this description or has any information on Dylan’s whereabouts to contact Police.

Police can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting incident number 3529 of Tuesday, 6 July, 2021.
