Missing Scots woman Alice Byrne was last spotted leaving a house party on January 1.
An updated sighting of the missing 28-year-old has been shared by her brother who said Alice was seen leaving a party on Marlborough Street, Portobello, around 10am on New Year's Day.
The latest sighting places Alice in Portobello eight hours after she was last seen by her family around 2am on Bath Street after attending a Hogmanay beach party.
Alice was officially reported missing on January 2, sparking a social media appeal and an urgent police search.
She is described as being white, around 5ft 6ins in height and of medium build with short black hair.
Sharing a poster with the updated information on Facebook last night Bryce Byrne said: "Update on what we have found out today and has been confirmed by police.
"Please share this everywhere and if you know anything at all do not hesitate to contact us.
"Thank you all for everything you've done so far.
"We really appreciate it."
When she was last seen Alice was wearing a long black t-shirt, black jeans, an orange jacket and white trainers.
She was also carrying a black rucksack.
Her family are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and describe her disappearance as out of character.
It is understood that she also left home without her mobile phone.
Inspector Keith Scott said: “It is out of character for Alice not to keep in contact with her family and friends.
"We are becoming increasingly concerned for her wellbeing and we are working to trace her as soon as possible to ensure that she is safe and well.
"Searches and enquiries have been ongoing since she was reported missing, and we are now asking the public for any assistance they can provide.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Alice since Sunday morning, or anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.
"I would appeal to Alice herself to contact us if she sees this appeal."
Anyone with information is being urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 0647 of 2 January.
