Missing schoolgirl Ninna Chaska found safe and well over 560 miles away from home

A schoolgirl who went missing from London has been found 565 miles away in Inverness .

Ninna Chaska vanished from the Haringey area of north London two weeks ago on July 24.

The 14-year-old had previously lived in Glasgow which led to Metropolitan Police officers appealing for information to help find her north of the border.

Officers from Police Scotland have now confirmed she has been found safe and well in the Highland capital after a frantic search.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Ninna Chaska,14, who had been missing from London, and was believed to be in Scotland, has been traced safe and well in Inverness.

"Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal."
