Missing schoolgirl, 14, who vanished at Fife train station found safe

A schoolgirl who vanished in Fife has been found safe and well.

Search for Fife schoolgirl, 14, who disappeared after boarding train to Edinburgh , 14, was last seen boarding a train at Inverkeithing railway station bound for Edinburgh at around 3.40pm on Friday April 26.

A major operation was launched as concerns grew for the teenager.

Search for Fife schoolgirl, 14, who disappeared after boarding train to Edinburgh  

Police have now confirmed she has been found in the Dunfermline area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that 14-year-old Zoe Ferguson, who has been reported missing since Friday 26 April, has been traced safe and well in the Dunfermline area. 

"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals and contacted us with information which led directly to her being traced.
