A schoolgirl who left home to go the gym has been missing for 48 hours.
Chelsea Thompson 14, left home in Gateshead on Tuesday saying that she would be home at 8.30pm after the gym.
She did not return home and has now been missing for two days.
A search has been launched for the missing teen with her family concerned about her whereabouts and welfare.
Chelsea is described as being 5ft 2ins, has a slim build and white complexion but on occasion wears a fake tan.
A photograph of Chelsea has been released by Northumbria Police on social media.
She was last seen wearing a camouflage puffer jacket, black leggings and grey Nike trainers.
Anyone who knows of Chelsea's whereabouts is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 incident number 1069 of 02/04/19.
