A 55-year-old woman reported missing from Riverside was found in Tennessee after spending more than a week in the woods.

Lisa Ann Vias was found Monday after police learned her cellphone pinged in the Cherokee National Forest, Riverside police said in a statement.

Officers found her walking out of a heavily wooded area in Turtletown, police said. She was taken to a hospital for observation.

Vias told investigators she had been in the woods for 10 days, police said. Her car has not been recovered.

Vias was reported missing March 13 by her husband. Police said she was believed to be under “extreme emotional stress.”

“My officers, detectives, and our consolidated dispatch center employees worked on this case almost around the clock since Lisa Vias was reported missing,” Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel said in the statement.

“I am very thankful she was found alive and is now getting proper medical treatment at a hospital,” he said. “Every resource available was used in order to locate this missing Riverside resident, and I am glad to see that their efforts paid off.”
