Update: Emma has been found safe and well.

An urgent search has been launched to trace a missing 13-year-old girl last seen three days ago.

Emma Pollock has been missing from Shettleston since Saturday, May 1, with Police Scotland launching an appeal to find her, saying her family is "very worried" for her wellbeing.

Emma is described as around 5 ft 3 in height, of average build and has long brown hair with blonde tips. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, black leather waistcoat, black ripped jeans and red converse trainers.

Sergeant David MacLean, of Greater Glasgow Police Division, said: “Emma was believed to have been staying with friends over the weekend, however, when she didn't go to school this morning police were called.

"She has not contacted her family since Saturday. They are very worried and want her to come home.

"Emma was seen near Shieldmuir Railway Station in Wishaw around 12pm on Sunday, 2 May, 2021 but not since then. We believe that there has been some contact with friends, however, we need to trace her to make sure she is safe and well.

"Anyone who has seen her or any information on her whereabouts should call police via 101 quoting reference number 0671 of Tuesday, 4 May, 2021.

"We'd also say to Emma to get in touch with family or police. We all just want her home safe and well.
