Missing person appeal for Co Down man Christopher Casement who 'did not turn up for work'

An appeal has been launched to find a Co Down man who 'did not turn up for work'.

Christopher Casement, 23, who lives in the Downpatrick area, has been reported missing by his family, who have launched a social media appeal to find him.

Christopher's cousin Terri-Louise told Belfast Live that he hasn't been in contact with anyone since yesterday morning.

She said: "We last saw Christopher yesterday morning between 6.30 and 7am.

"He had left the house to go to work but never turned up for work and hasn't been in contact with anyone since this.

"If you are reading this Christopher please just get in touch with us and let us know that you are ok. We are all waiting on you."

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are currently attempting to locate the following missing person reported this date from the Downpatrick area.

"Christopher Casement, 6ft in height, medium build with short fair hair.

"He would have access to a Blue Mazda and there are no further details known at this time.

"His family are very concerned and would appreciate if anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Police on 101, quoting reference 37 04/09/19."
