Missing Paisley woman Charlene McFadyen: Concerns grow for 40-year-old not seen in days

Concerns are growing for a missing Paisley woman who hasn't been seen since last Tuesday.

The last sighting of 40-year-old Charlene McFadyen was shortly after 7am on Tuesday, July 27, in the Bankfoot Road area of the town.

She is described as around 5 ft 6 ins tall, blue eyes with greying fair/blonde hair.

Police say her disappearance is 'out of character' as she usually keeps in regular contact with her family, as they urge anyone with information to come forward.

A police appeal published this afternoon advises: "Officers are appealing for the public's help in tracing Charlene McFadyen who has been reported missing from Paisley.

"She is described as around 5 ft 6 ins tall, blue eyes with greying fair/blonde hair (although she has dark hair in her photo). She could be wearing a green Adidas sports top with black stripes on the sleeves and matching jogging bottoms, or jeans."

Sergeant Gail Fitzpatrick, of Paisley Police Office, commented: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Charlene's welfare and want to trace her as soon as possible. This is out of character for Charlene as she normally keeps in contact with her family.

"If you have seen Charlene or have any information on her whereabouts, please contact police. Similarly, Charlene, if you are reading this, please let us know that you are safe and well."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1767 of 30 July 2021.
