Missing Nasir Shah: Boy, 13, found after leaving Radio 1's Big Weekend

Police have found a teenager who went missing after leaving Radio 1's Big Weekend over the weekend.

An appeal was launched to find Nasir Shah, 13, who was last seen leaving Stewart Park in Middlesbrough, which hosted the three-day music festival.

Cleveland Police said Nasir left the park at around 5pm on Sunday, the final day of the annual event, and he was then seen walking towards a church.

The force has released a photo of the teen which was taken just before he went missing during the Bank Holiday weekend, TeessideLive reports.

At 3pm Cleveland Police said he had been found safe and well.

A spokesperson for the force, before he was found, said in a statement: "Have you seen missing Nasir Shah?

"Police are urgently appealing to trace missing Nasir Shah, 13, who was last seen after leaving BBC Big Weekend yesterday, Sunday 26th May at around 5pm.

"The photo officers have released was taken just before he went missing and he was last sighted walking towards St Cuthbert’s Church on Stokesley Road in Middlesbrough."
