Missing Motherwell woman found safe and well

A Motherwell woman has been found safe and well following a frantic search by police.

Joan Suttie was last seen within her home address in Wood Cresecent, Motherwell, around 4pm on September 27.

Her daughter had made an emotional appeal for her safe return.

In a post online, her daughter wrote: “Please, please, please come home mum.

“We are so worried about you, I promise you’ll be okay and we can sort anything that is wrong out.

“Please mum, we need you home safe and well.”

Thankfully this morning police confirmed Ms Suttie had been traced.

A Lanarkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are pleased to report that 59-year-old Joan Suttie, missing from Wood Crescent in Motherwell, has been traced safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our information.”
